IndiGo has launched IndiGo India Greece direct flights, becoming the first airline to offer non-stop air connectivity between India and Greece.
The airline commenced direct services between Mumbai and Athens, marking its entry into narrow-body long-haul operations with the deployment of India’s first Airbus A321XLR aircraft.
From January 24, 2026, the same aircraft will also operate direct flights between Delhi and Athens.
With thrice-weekly operations on both routes, IndiGo now directly connects Greece with India’s two largest metro cities – Mumbai and Delhi – while offering seamless onward connectivity across its extensive domestic and Asian network.
The airline also plans to expand connectivity to additional destinations in Greece in the future.

In return, AEGEAN passengers will gain access to more than 10 domestic and international destinations on IndiGo’s network via its hubs in Delhi and Mumbai, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Colombo, enabling seamless cross-regional travel.
Boost to Tourism, MICE, and Cultural Exchange

He noted that the launch establishes IndiGo as India’s first carrier to offer direct flights between India and Greece, while expanding global connectivity and supporting India’s emergence as a global aviation hub.
Yiannis Paraschis, Managing Director and CEO of Athens International Airport, described the launch as a milestone for the airport and the country, marking the first-ever scheduled direct air service between India and Greece.
